Our hearts go out to the family and our Christian brothers and sisters in Sliven who have comitted to the Lord and grown spiritually under the teaching and example of Pastro Mitko.
He had great vision for the feeding children both food and the Word of God and he knew God’s heart for his people.
We also pray for Bishop Stilian and the pastors of the brotherhood of Church of God in Bularia, that they would not be disheartened but truly encouraged in the knowledge their brother in Christ is presently in glory with Jesus. In and of his own resources, it was not possible for Mitko to see his vision fulfilled but he has planted seeds and was himself a seed. The Bible says that unless a seed falls to the ground and dies, it cannot reproduce BUT the seed that falls in good soil will produce 30, 60 and 100 fold. In his life, Mitko died to self that he could live for Jesus. Now he has passed from this earth to live with Jesus and become a member of that great crowd of witnesses that are cheering on those who remain behind, to accomplish Kingdom purposes and bring revival to Bulgaria.
Do not let your hearts be troubled but rejoice that from the seed of Mitko, there is yet to be a harvest of souls in Sliven. May God our Father send Holy Spirit the comforter to each one whoknew and loved Mitko.
Had plans of man not been changed by the leading of Holy Spirit, today would have been day 4 for me in Bulgaria and I could personally share my love for Bulgaria but for this time, the Lord had me remain in Canada at this time. Although I cannot be with you in bodily form, I will indeed be with you in spirit as you bid farewell to our dear brother.
May the grace and peace of God be with you rest and abide with each one of you on this day and the days to come.
God bless!
